Built for the Marsh.
What Drake & Drum Is
Drake & Drum is a hunting and fishing resource built for Southern waterfowlers and anglers who take the water seriously. No sponsored roundups. No gear we haven’t tested. No watered-down advice.
🦆 Duck Hunting
From timber holes in Arkansas to coastal marshes in Texas and Louisiana — we cover decoy spreads, scouting, blind setups, and the gear that holds up when the temperature drops and the ducks finally work.
🎣 Bass & Bay Fishing
Largemouth on the flats, redfish in the spartina grass, speckled trout at first light. We write about the techniques and tackle that actually catch fish in Southern coastal waters.
🔫 Honest Gear Reviews
Every gear guide on this site is built around real questions: What shotgun handles bismuth loads without beating you up? Which spinning reel survives saltwater for more than one season? We give you straight answers.
Why We Built This
Most hunting and fishing content online falls into one of two categories: generic listicles written by people who have never waded a marsh, or gear reviews that exist purely to collect affiliate clicks. Drake & Drum exists to be the third option.
Our content is written for the hunter who is already out there. The angler who knows the difference between a tide change and a current break. The guy who shows up before the alarm goes off, who scouted the hole three weekends in a row, and who just wants to know whether the $300 choke is worth it before he pulls the trigger.
If that’s you — welcome. You’re in the right place.
